“Working with the Girls Agency Lab has been an incredible and transformative journey for us at GLAMI! Through the Randomized Control Trial (RCT), we’ve been able to clearly see the gradual and powerful changes our Scholars experience each year — how they grow in confidence, strengthen their resilience, and begin to take charge of their own stories. The insights from the Amplify Girls Adolescent Surveys have opened our eyes to the true meaning of girls’ agency, helping us understand the four domains and how each one contributes to shaping strong, empowered young women. Beyond data, GAL has stood beside us as a true learning partner, strengthening our MEL systems, refining our tools, and even supporting us financially to build stronger evidence that aligns perfectly with our program goals. This not only made our sessions more engaging and relevant but also gave girls a greater voice in their learning journey. We also learned that focusing on the most vulnerable girls can create the biggest ripple of change. So, in our new expansion in Morogoro, we intentionally prioritized girls from rural areas , those who often have the least agency but the greatest potential.
